Ordering

How do I know which species is right for me?
It depends on your experience level and equipment. Some species, like African Grey, require tighter incubation control and are generally less forgiving of errors. If you’re not sure, our incubation consulting service can help you decide.

Should I buy an egg or a hand-raised chick?
Buying a chick skips the incubation process entirely, the bird arrives already hatched and socialized. Buying an egg means more hands-on involvement and requires reliable incubation equipment. See our parrots and parrot eggs for sale page for a full comparison.

Can I order more than one egg or bird at a time?
Yes, contact us to discuss availability and shipping for multiple items in a single order.

Shipping

How are eggs and birds shipped?
Shipments use species-appropriate methods in accordance with applicable carrier and wildlife transport regulations, where permitted. Shipping methods and timelines vary by species and order type.

Do you ship internationally?
Availability, transport, and ownership requirements vary by location and applicable regulations. Contact us to confirm whether shipping to your location is possible for a specific listing.

Hatching and Care

What if my egg doesn’t hatch?
If your egg doesn’t hatch, we’ll replace it or refund your payment, your choice. Every egg is candled prior to shipping to assess development, but hatching naturally involves some variability, incubation success also depends on conditions and handling after delivery, which are outside our control. Either way, you’re covered.

I don’t have an incubator yet, what should I do?
Our equipment rental service lets you try incubating before committing to a purchase, or browse our incubators category if you’re ready to buy your own.

Trust and Sourcing

How do I know HatchAParrot is legitimate?
We understand this niche has a reputation problem. Parent background records are maintained where applicable, and we’re happy to answer specific sourcing questions for any listing before you order. We also won’t ship anything that doesn’t meet our own readiness standards, even if that means a delay.

Is it legal to buy and ship parrot eggs or parrots?
Laws governing ownership, breeding, and transport vary by species, state, and country. It’s your responsibility to confirm a specific species is permitted in your location before ordering, we recommend checking your local and state wildlife regulations independently.
