HatchAParrot started from a simple frustration: this niche is full of vague listings, untraceable sellers, and buyers left guessing whether they’re dealing with someone real. I built this site because I believe buying a parrot egg or chick shouldn’t feel like a gamble.
I’m an individual breeder with over 5 years of hands-on experience working with parrot eggs and chicks, from candling and incubation to hand-raising and finding the right home for each bird. That experience shapes everything on this site, from the species-specific guidance included with every order to the honest, sometimes unglamorous answers in our FAQ sections.
What I Actually Do
Every egg I offer is candled prior to shipping to assess development. Chicks are hand-fed and socialized before they’re ready to go to a new home. I don’t ship anything that doesn’t meet my own readiness standards, even when that means a delay. Parent background records are maintained where applicable, and I’m happy to answer specific questions about sourcing for any listing before you order.
I also offer incubation consulting and equipment rental for buyers who want guidance setting up their first incubator, or who’d rather try incubating before committing to their own equipment.
Why I Built It This Way
Most “parrot eggs for sale” listings give you a price and nothing else. No information about the parent birds, no way to verify the seller, no real support if something goes wrong. After years of seeing how that plays out for buyers, I wanted to build something different, a single source where you can buy an egg or a chick, get real guidance afterward, and reach an actual person if you have questions.
Laws governing the ownership, breeding, and transport of parrots and parrot eggs vary by species, state, and country. I always encourage buyers to confirm what’s permitted in their location before ordering, and I’m glad to answer sourcing questions for any specific listing along the way.
